第一题我觉得这里有一个固定的词组，高中学过的 be worried about sth, 这里应该表示的是一种忧虑的状态，如果用worrying的话，就和原句的意思有偏差了。你觉得呢？

至于第二题吗!我觉得你可能是句意没有完全理解，it was the antipodes 和前面的句子应该是发生在同一时期的事情，或者你可以看未划线部分的时态得到一些提示。

no1. 这里不是passive,而是过去时态，后面使用了has done。
no2.这个其实算个语感的问题。语法上说也该用before A was A,it was B that ......
很简单的理解，首看这是一个强调句型，该用it was +that 。
再说未划线部分用的是.....that was.，你用it had been,时态紊乱句子就不能理解了。
