Thanks a lot for all the nice inputs. As I pointed out before,  I do like SOM very much.   Good to know that CDers have nice responses for SOM.

Jane, it would be nice to meet you som time. Unfortunately, I will not be able to go to the SOM admit gathering because I have a trip outside of the states.

Izone, sorry, may I keep a secret of the class?

There are few inputs for Cornell at CD. That's interesting.

One information from Roche MBA fellowship. http://www.mba-fellowship.org/mba/

American and European Business Schools accepted by the Roche MBA Fellowship Programme: Columbia, Cornell, HBS, IMD, INSEAD, Kellog, LBS, MIT, Stanford, Wharton, and Chicago.

The list might reflect the opinion of Roche on MBAs, who want to work in the healthcare industry.  Just for reference.

恭喜楼主,两个OFFERS都很好.请问楼主当时在选校时是怎样考虑的呢.身在NYC,没有考虑COLUMBIA和NYU吗?

Dashasha, I only applied for Cornell and Yale because of its small size class and Ivy league education, which I think match my needs.

NYC is so farbulous and seducing. I decide to have a short-term town life for MBA study.

嗯,好想法。我就喜欢住在大城市边上,既有大城市的便利,又有小镇的清静。

Cornell is supposed to be amazingly beautiful most of the year, and definitely a great get-away from the craziness of NYC. Unfortunately I visited in Feb when it was 10F under windchill so my view was very biased...

Jane, the winter in Ithaca is known for cold but the summer is very, very gorgous. The winter can be actually also very cold in New Haven and NYC.

The following reference for you about the Ithaca airport which is 10 min bus ride to Cornell.  More flight options will soon improve the transportation situation, and benefit the campus recruiters.

"Northwest Airlines will begin daily service to the Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport on May 2, 2005. This new service will connect Northwest's international hub at Detroit to Ithaca with direct connections to Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Osaka, Amsterdam, and other major markets.

This new Ithaca connection compliments existing air service from US Airlines which serves Ithaca with direct flights to New York La Guardia and Philadelphia International Airport.

Fares are available online at NWA.com and USAir.com. United Airlines also tickets flights direct to Ithaca (sometimes at lower prices) from United.com. Check Kayak.com for the lowest fare to Ithaca from 16 different travel web sites.

The local Ithaca airport is only 10 minutes from the Johnson School and downtown Ithaca. Local taxi and bus service is available along with rental cars from Avis and Hertz. "

Again, it is so hard to make a choice between two of my favorite schools.  I appreciate very much all of your kind posts.  Yale represents well at CD.  Will some more voices of Cornell come up?

I am also facing a similar situation.  I am choosing between Yale,USC's MBA program and Cornell's graduate program.  I hate to leavesunny california, especially i got a pretty good $$ package from USC.But SOM as a rising star is quite a temptation.   As forCornell, no school beats Cornell's beautiful campus!  I nevervisited SOM, although I did summer school there during college, thepicture of SOM buildings online look a bit like haunted oldmansons..How are the facilities inside?

Jane & Ruiyu: are you going to the admit weekend at Yale?  Iam thinking about flying to Philly or NYC and take Amtrak to New Heavenif I do decide to go - it's quite a trip from California!  Hope tosee you there if I go..
izone:  are you a current student?  I heard that Yale allowsMBA students to take up to one quarter of their classes outsideSOM.  Can I take undergraduate classes like political science orpublic policy?  Have you taken such non-MBA classes?
Thanks in advance!
