Thanks. Your answers all are very detailed. I think you are a nice guy and also should be an excellent scholar. I said the total rank of UNT was 189 in 2003, not the rank of accounting Phd program.

I just submitted my application for the University of North Texas several days ago because my professor said this school is relatively weak ( my professor graudated from the University of Illinois-UC)

The UNT just emailed me to require for the application fee. I intentionally didn't attach the applicatoin fee because I applied much later and according to the 4.15 treaty, after 4.15 I don't have right to reject and have to accept the first offer.

I am aiming at universities ranging from 75-150.

Frankly, first, if you have got the interview with other universities, even the campus visit with them, I think, it is fine to wait. But if not, I still suggest you to pay the 75 bucks to UNT. It is weak, but not too bad, at least about half of their graduate are placed to the research universities with PhD program.

What other universities have you applied? and any information?

UT Dallas一去就要教课，而且不是那种好对付的习题课，而是真刀实枪跟美国教授一样给本科生上专业课。也就是说学校一年花一万多元招个博士，就是来给本科生教书，这比招聘教授要省钱的多。
其他几所学校估计也是如此。所以他们才爱招已有美国学历，在美国呆了几年的。如果是国内的本科，是否一来就有能力给美国大学生上课？
商科的博士就是比较惨，不少学校要求教课，不像理工科的博士做做实验，或给本科生判判QUIZ便可。

他们居然也放心让刚入学的去教课呀。要是那些没有会计专业背景的怎么办？不是说，那个phd teaching实习在第二年的暑假才做的嘛。

不过，也是，我拿的是 teaching assistantship，不知道他们让我干嘛。

不过，倒是在国内做过一年ERP的顾问，有大半年天天给人家上课。倒是心理不觉得怎么。也不知道给他们上点什么课？

I guess you will teach Accounting I or Accounting II at the your first summer. Easy, if you prepare for it. Use powerpoints. Students could read it, even you cannot talk it.
