Hi zdcgy, Speaking frankly, as I always do, I shoud say I would go to "drink the wind" one year ago if I just got a straight admission from Chicago and it was my dream school at that time. (as a matter of fact, I did tried hard to kiss ass after the waitlist decision in spite of my crazy, almost inhumane round-the-clock working schedule at that time, but those efforts turned out to be a sour notice from GSB of Chicago. After the admission of Emory, I got a final ding from Chicago) But back then, I knew almost nothing about Emory. I didn't know the amazing community and kind people, I didn't see the promising picture of obtaining an offer both for summer intern and for full time job, I didn't see the competitiveness of the talented youngsters on Emory's campus. In general, I didn't know Emory like I know her now. As people say, one's panacea can be others' poison. My enthusiasm and passion of Emory doesn't mean that this small school can bring the same feelings to each and everyone and that this small community fit everyone's taste. I am just sharing what I obtained and what I experienced. Hope my story may help people know more about the school. Anyway, the WSJ called Emory as the Hiden Gem. Just want to let people see the glittering of the gem. But please spare me for showing the gem to those diamond or ruby fans. All my best wishes to all the dream chasers! |
