我总结的A与B比较的写法:
因为这个题目是有比较的意思在里面的, 所以还是应该比较A和B的优缺点的, 这样你的prefer 才比较有说服力. 我觉得用下面这种结构比较好:

第一段, 开头段, 表明prefer A to B

第二段, A 怎么好怎么好, 举例说明, 最后应该提一下B 就没有这么好

第三段, A 怎么好怎么好, 举例说明, 最后也提一下B 就没有这么好

第四段, 让步段(显得全面和客观), B 也有比A 好的地方比如..., 但还是觉得A比B好

第五段, 结束段
People cannot select their parents, but they can select the places to stay. Big city or small town, which one you prefer? Quite a lot of people will choose big city for the convenience. However, some people may prefer to stay in a small town for the fresh air and the slower pace. In my point of view, I will strongly support the former and choose to stay in a big city.

One compelling argument in favor of my statement is that it is very convenient to stay in a big city. Consider that most of the government agencies, business and finance centers, universities, railway stations, airports and hospitals are located in big cities. Staying in a place with all important facilities within one to two hours driving, people in big cities can be much more efficient than those in small towns. For instance, I have ever traveled to Hong Kong to meet customers and returned back to Singapore within one day. Since I left and came back at the usual time I went to work, no body in my home aware that I had left the country. In contrary, my friend who is staying in a small city took GMAT exam last year. The day before the exam, she had to take a train to Shanghai and stay in a hotel in order to be on time. If she were in a big city, it would not be so troublesome.

Another compelling argument to support is that there are much more opportunities in the big city. As we all very young, it is not the time for us to relax and enjoy life. We need various opportunities to fight for our future. We need to look for jobs to support ourselves and improve our skills; we need good investment opportunities to set up our own business. Singles need to have chance to meet amounts of high quality people, which will make it easier to look for another part. If we are stay in a small town the selection will be too limited.

While just like coins, everything has two sides. It is true that there are some advantages to stay in a small town. For instance, the air is not so seriously polluted as that in the big city. The life style is more relax and people are less pressurized. Thus a healthier environment makes the small town an attractive place to stay. But it seems to me that the disadvantages still overweigh the advantages.

Based on all the facts previously stated, it is easy to draw the conclusion that compared with small town, big city is a better place to live in. I will continue to enjoy my life in the big city, enjoy the convenience, enjoy various opportunities, and enjoy the dirty air as well.

1。好文，特别是用这种每段对比的结构对这种对立观点的文章说服力很强。

2。提几点建议。一是有多处语法错误，相信楼主有足够水平看出来。二是建议词多样化，比如第三段的compelling改为persuasive或convincing，顺便讲该句有语法错误，support是及物动词。第三，末段建议重写，最后一句话难以说是一个好句子。

即供参考，要是我，是写不出这种水平的文章的。
