Hi my friend, and thanks for your question. First of all, I’d like to say that you have a pretty good GPA and a solidbackground. There’s definitely a possibility for you to gain admission into competitive programs like statistics at Columbia. As you know, there are a few more things you need to work on to increase your chances. For your GRE, it’s recommended that you get a perfect (or nearly perfect) score on the Quantitative Reasoning section. After all, statistics is a math-based degree. Also, it would be helpful if you took some calculus or linear algebra classes part-timeat local schools. This will help you become more competitive in terms of your math ability. Finally, if you can get a recommendation letter from your current employer that references your math or statisticsskills, that would be a huge advantage. Hope this helps!
