Up to the issue that borrowing money from a friend can harm or damage the friendship, people have different opinion according their experience, personality type and emotional concern. Although some people think borrowing money from a friend can enhance friendship, from my own point of view, I believe that borrowing money from a friend really can harm or damage the friendship and my arguments are listed as follows.
To begin with, borrowing money from a friend can bring about distrust. When people lend their money to their friends, they often worry about the return of the money. Due to the friendship, it is sly that they ask for their friends to pay the back money, although their friends were overdue the day when they promise to return the money. Take my experience for example, I have good friend who often borrow the money from other people, but he often forget to pay back because of his character. As a friend I know he is really forget it, but I also do not like to borrow the money to him and this result that I do not like to do something with him, such as shopping, playing and so on.
In addition, borrowing money from a friend maybe increase the burden of friend. As the development of society, money becomes more and more important for people life. People must pay money to their basic lives and this cause people often carefully plan their money for everything. When you borrow money from a friend, your friend maybe no more money to lend to you, but from the friendship, he lend you the money and he will meet an embarrassment.
Last but not least, borrowing money from a friend can result in the unequal. Nowadays, economy as the main trendy, you will feel the unequal relationship when you borrowed money from a friend. Although your friend do not show anything to you, you will feel the relation which has changed compared to the one before you borrowed money from your friend.
To sum up, given the reasons discussed above, we can safely draw the conclusion that borrowing money from a friend can harm or damage the friendship. Although borrowing money from a friend maybe enhance friendship, I think that we should not borrow money from a friend because this will give you and your friends some trouble.
