马上考试了,没有谱啊!!!求大神指点,谢谢 Government officials should rely on their own judgment rather than unquestioningly carry out the will of the people they serve.
Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the recommendation and explain your reasoning for the position you take. In developing and supporting your position, describe specific circumstances in which adopting the recommendation would or would not be advantageous and explain how these examples shape your position.
Should the government make judgments solely rely on their own minds rather than the populace? I agree with this claim insofar as it concerns the national development or international relationship. However, when comes to the citizens’ welfares and the elections, the populace’s voice is the best criteria to make judgments.
Admittedly, when facing the decisions about national development or international trading rules, the officials should make judgments by their own minds. Common sense tells us that officials are more insightful than common people. They received higher education, got the special training and their overall qualities are also better than the populace. As the study, conducted by professor Jun Wang, Tsinghua University, shows that there are 75.5% officials in China own Master Degree, and all of them have got the special politic training when they enrolled in their own department. From these proves, we would like to insist that to these particular realm officials should make judgment rely on their own minds.
What’s more unquestioningly base on the populace’s will is harmful to both officials and our nation. The most important part we should make sure is that the proportion of officials to the populace’s. As a survey, conducted by Jackson Bright, a English professor, demonstrates that the ratio of official to the populace in Chinais one to eighteen, what an amazing statistic. So, if officials make judgment according to the populace, who should the officials to listen to? Whose opinion is more important? All of them will be confused. What’s worse, how can the officials spare more time concerning the nation’s development? So it is impossible to rely on the populace unquestioningly when the officials making every judgment.
However, only rely on their own minds when official making judgments will lead to the autocratic society, which is the populace never want to see. In the realm of citizens’ welfares, officials should pay more attention on common people for they are the receiver and they know what they really expect. Like the Secretary Bo Xilai, to our populace, he is really a great leader who knows what the common people hope for? Comparably, the election is so critical for the populace that they have the right to decide who is their leader. If officials make decision rely on themselves rather than the populace, no one will obey their leader’s decision. Like part of Chinese leaders are promoted without inform the populace until they have got that position. Then rebellions and violence never stop.
Every one even the officials can not be perfect, we need to cooperate with others. So as the officials and the populace, in order to keep our society developing sustainably and peacefully, they should cooperate with each other.
