Have you ever confused about which career to choose in the future? Have you ever tried to make some money by yourself? Have you ever felt anxious to grow up?  All the teenagers face some challenges when they are transmitting their roles from minor to adults. Some of them are confused about their future career development, and some teenagers feel stressful to take all the responsibility as an adult. I believe that one thing their parents can help them prepare the coming adult life is to encourage them take a part-time job. A part- time job can bring much more benefits to the teenagers than the few salaries.

To begin with, the part time experience can help teenagers to make their career goal by have a basic understanding of what the job that they choose is.  Before I have an internship in one local accounting firm, I think that accountant is just someone do the bookkeeping, which is really boring. But the truth is that bookkeeping is only a small part of accounting job. The other functions of accountant, such as auditing and taxation are quite challenging. Based on the working experience I got in this part time job, I chose accounting as my major. Without this precious experience, I will never think accounting as interesting job.

Besides, having a part time job is useful for teenagers to value money correctly. Children can only understand that money come from hard working when the money is earned by themselves.  And this recognition prepares them to arrange their expenditures properly when they are adults. It is less possible for children who have this recognition to spend all their money on meaningless things, such as drugs and alcohol. The part time job experience makes children capable of managing their finance in the future adult life.

In addition, the teenagers who take a part-time but not only study in school are more likely to have the ability to manage multi-job. If they can balance their study and part-time job successfully, they may feel easier to manage their own life in the future.

As far as I am concerned, it is a good idea for parents to prepare their teenage children by encouraging them to take a part-time job. The valuable working experience can help the children to know more the field they interested in, spending their money wisely and also deal with the stressful adult life correctly.
