TSE and TOEFL

I took computer based TOEFL exam already and got 270, which is a pretty satisfactory score. But it seems that for one particular university that I am planning to apply, I need to take TSE. Does that mean I need to take the whole TOEFL exam again? Or are TSE and TOEFL exam separated? Please let me know. Thank you.

You only need to take a TSE and that will be fine

I'm not sure the price of TSE, maybe you can contact the local TOEFL office for the price.

BTW, which university you are applying for?

I am going to apply McMaster, U of T, York, and Queen's. But I am taking TOEFL and TSE for only university of waterloo, which requires five years of speaking english prior to the entrace. Thanx anyway!

im in waterloo right now, i faced the same problem last year.  I didnt take the test, but instead i wrote an exemption for them to process, and they took my mine, meaning that i dont need to take the test anymore.

I thought it was just 4 a heck of nothing, but now, im in wateloo, hehe....

my suggestion would be write the exemption first(read the stuff from the website and c if you want to). since you still have time, wrting the exemption wont hurt you. I think if you have enought things to tell them, they will grant u an exemption.....
