The issue of whether teachers should talk about their political and social views to their students in class has been constantly discussed and questioned but it seems people never reach a consensus. It’s been noted that teachers can express their ideas because they have the rights and freedom to do it in a democratic and open country. Nevertheless, some people hold the contrary belief, for they believe teacher’s opinions about politics and society will no doubt give the wrong guidance to students or even worse, cause the turbulence of the society . From my point of view, I fall into the second category. My view will be substantiated by the reasons addressedbelow.

In the first place , that teachers always talk about their opinions about politics and society will decrease the quality of education, reasoning that some of the students my disagree to their teachers' statements due to their different background and experience. Therefor, they will argue or express their disatisfaction towards their teachers, as a result of which, teachers don't give lessons and students don't listen to classes either. This will have a negtive influence on the quality ofeducation spontaniously.

In addition, teachers opinion may mislead the students, to some extent. After all,not all of our teachers are are experts in polictics or society so their statement maybe wrong or subjective. Moreover, sometimes they are not able to analyse the problems professionably and objectively, which will affact the studens' values, their inmature thoughts and their individual development in the future.

What's more, stating their political and social views to the students will decrease the students study efficiency. Obviously, the political events , social reality and teacher's unique views towards them are much more attractive to students. Hence, they will fully focus on these kinds of issues instead of the important knowlege.As a result , students will fail in their finals and even have difficulties in graduation eventually.

To sum up, given all the factors we have discussed above , a conclusion can be drawn that teachers are not supposed to demonstrate their ideas about politics and society to their students, for it not only does harm to the education but also possibly affect students valuses and decrease their study efficiency.
