这道题我选错了C，把they指代了costs，后来发现应该比较的是proporotion。
关于A答案。因为以前的proportion跟1992的proportion不是同一件事，所以不能用it（专门指代前面提到的名词）指代。
B是正选。补全省略的部分是Soaring television costs accounted for more than half the spending in the presidential campaign of 1992, a greater proportion than（the proportion） in any previous election.
