Apparently, this lecture completely challenges the reading passage. The passage indicates that altruism is a kind of behavior in both human being and animal. To support this idea, at first, the reading passage points that human will share food with other people, and even donate organ to sick people. But the lecture contradicts this idea by a evidence that people do this altruism thing not only because of kind heart, but also because appreciate and self-worth. In other words, people want to get appreciation and reputation, which may will help s/he at the future work or life.

Secondly, in animal world, the speaker also supposes that stand guard meeket alarms other members to make change to escape, because other members heard alarm will get together that make them expose to the prey. What's more, because the guard is less far to the cave than other meerkats, it can run home so fast but ignore other members. This evidence weakens the reading passage seriously. In the reading, the writer hold the action that stand guard meerkat alarm other members is a altruism action.

Last, but not least, contrary to what is stated in the reading, the speaker demonstrates that meerkat won't share food with other meerkat. As a food finder, meerkar can find food firstly and eat it without sharing. After it eats full, it notices other members. The idea that meerkat will share food and even scarify food to help other can not stand.

So, based on the discussions demonstrated above, the contents in the reading passage are thoroughly jeopardized by the speaker.

It seems a kind of complicated question that not everything that is learned is contained from books. In my country, many people suppose book is more important than experience. Looking our schools, especially middle schools and high schools, almost courses are reading, writing and watching. Rare lab class here. But, is that a right way to educate student?

Apparently, reading can give a person so much knowledge s/he nerve touch before. S/he can learn some theories from a good book, and can got some wonderful ideas sometimes. But, what if s/he writes a book? Is s/he can create a story perfect like the book s/he read before without any practice?  Not sure. Not only the literature, but any other fields need not only books. A observing fact is that no Noble Prize owner is Chinese. Why? May be we can find answer at the above discussion.

On the other hand, how about we do some experiments at the same time? Well, experiment is contained lab matters and some other hand matters. If a person writes a nice sentence s/he read after reading, may be s/he can make since how good the sentence is. Or after a TV show about explain why light can make shadow, someone stands under a light to impress himself/herself. Doing these experiments, maybe some genies can catch up with a new idea, that's creation come out.

Here is a third method, put books and experiments together. Because human being is a complicated creature, we receive information not only use eyes but use any other part of body. Learning speaking is a good example. People learned speaking when s/he was a baby, the first step is hearing and the second step is speaking, s/he must receive words, and then reflect them out. Through this process, a people can completely control language.  

So, learning from books and from experiences like a identical twin. Each of them cannot provide people a good way to learn something, but if put them together, things got to be more reasonable and easier.
