Some people think that the best way to travel is to be led by a guide in a travel group. Others, myself included, hold an opposite idea. I advocate that it is better to travel in a more free way, in other words, by DIY our journey. There are several reasons as follows.
First of all, travelling in a group and having a guide means that we have to accept all of the rountes which designed by the guide or all of the members in the group. Also, we should visit  the places where both we like and dislike. My family journey in last summer break may set a good example. Last summer break, all of my family planed to visit the Great Valley of Taihang Mountain, one of the famous valley in China, before we went, we took part in a travel group orgnised by a local travel agency. To me, I like to visit the famous fall in the valley, and dislike to go to the forests, because I hate the insects there. However, the agency has to book this rounte (the forest), I have to suffer all of the spiders and mosquitors. In contrast, if we planed the rounte by ourselves, we can just go somewhere we want to.

There is also a pratical matter of expenses. In other words, we will spend extra money on fares of services offered by the travel agency, and the fares are always costly. I can use some datas to show this issue. I took a course of business last semester, and we analysis the mico-environment of travelling industry. According to the analysis, the average fares costumers pay to the agency are enough to pay another journey.

In addition, travelling in a group consisted by strangers will make the journey not as sweet as the journey that travelling with friends or family. If we travell with our family, we do not have to talk with the strangers and the atmosphere will be better. What is more, we can leave at a place where we consider it is beautiful for a long time, no matter the time on the scheme, no matter whether other strangers like it. Say, all of my family like sea, and we can spend a whole day beside a sea. However, if we in a group, others who dislike sea or just not like sea much as we do, they will complain about it, we can image that all of us will feel bored. So, travelling with strangers is not a wise idea.

To sum, for the reasons mentioned above I therefore believe that travelling in a group by a guide can not satisfy travellers as we image. Althoug it seems more convient, travelling with friends and family by DIY the rounte is a better way.
