The issue that the college years are the best time in a person's life seems to be a controversial one in the modern times. Some people may agree with this statement that hold the college years lead to an inevitable leap in a person's lifetime. On the other hand, others may maintain that the college years are only a short period of a person's lifetime. When compared with other periods the college years appear to be unimportant. Thus, from my point of view, I hold the opinion the same as the former one that the college life is an indispensible experience and plays an overwhelming role in the lifetime.

The first reason that prompts me to stick to my assertion is that college life can help a person increase knowledge which is essential to the future social life. As the saying goes, the college is like a condensed society. Not only can people learn professional knowledge but also learn social regulations during the college life. Take myself as an example. When I set foot on the college, I had no ear for interpersonal relationships.Some classmates were sensitive whereas I couldn't realize the minimal change of feelings.Once I learned empathy in my psychology class and after the class I started to pay attention to daily communications.

In addition,college life is a key period for you to broaden your network and make eternal friends.In college,people can meet with many friends who have the similar interest, similar pursuit, similar attitude,etc. On the ground of the similarities, people can form a solid friendship with each other. What's more, college friends will work in the related field of jobs.So it will contribute to career development. Life abounds with examples.As we all know, Bill Gates, the most successful precursor in the IT industry, who has an unbelievable courage to drop out of the school and start his own business in the marketplace, has benefited a lot from his college life. The friendship can be dated to the college time. Meanwhile, at last he and his intimate friends spare no effort to push the development of IT industry .

Admittedly,other periods of a person's life are also primary and functional. For example, childhood is the first stage to getting close to social life. Juvenile period serve as a transmission from child to adult. However, when all the periods of a person's life are carefully evaluated, it can be easily seen that the college period outweights others.

To sum up, there is no denying that the college years should be the best time in a person's life.With the experience of college,people can gradually step on a new summit and have a more insightful perspective when facing with social life.
