解释里说D项有一个错误是they 指代不清，有可能指foreclosures也有可能是Americans，但是E项里也有they啊，它是怎么避免指代不清的这个错误呢？关于代词指代的顺序这个问题我一直没有搞清楚，哪位nn给指点一下？

D)主要错误是时态错误。
从意思上看，不会有人会觉得they指代foreclosures，虽然从句式上来讲有可能（在GMAT的规则中，能避免这种情况最好，如果避免不了也不能说就错了：因为GMAT要的是相对最好的选项）。
