In the lecture, the professor makes several points about the problems of computerized voting systems, which casts doubt on the proposition that computerized voting systems are better than traditional voting systems in the reading passage.

Some people may be unfamiliar with computers and couldn't use computerized systems properly. In fact, some people cannot afford a computer and do not use computers regularly. How can your imagine these people vote through computers? They may vote wrongly, vote together or even do not want to vote. This point directly refutes the reading passage which states that computerized voting is easier and convenient to use by just touching the screen.

Another point is that computerized may also make mistakes. The computerized voting systems are programmed by human beings and may also contained errors. Compared with miscounting that exists in traditional voting methods, computerized voting may cause more serious problems. Thousands of pallots may be miscount because of an error in the system. In this case, it is difficult to recount since there are no physical records. This point made by the professor contradicts the reading which states that computers only traditional voting methods may make mistakes.

Finally, the professor points out that it is difficult for computerized voting systems to reach a stable status. Unlike banking transitions systems which are used frequently to reach stable, it is almost impossible for computerized voting systems to reach stable because they are used only several times a year.

In conclusion, there are several disadvantages of computerized voting systems. First of all, not everyone can use computers properly. In addition, computerized systems may make even worse mistakes. Finally, it is almost impossible for computerized systems to reach stable. It is too early to claim that computerized voting systems will outperform traditional voting systems.
