因为此处动作都是是 pass，故可以用as来引导从句。只是前后的时态不一样，所以为了强调这一点， as后的will 没有省略。

个人意见：这里不用that的原因是，若用that，会出现指代问题，因为that指代了两个事物（distance/position）。
