Teachers should be paid according to how much their students learn.
Give specific reasons and examples to support your opinion.

Today in our education system, teachers’ salary is paid in term of faculty work loads. But more and more critics argue that teacher should get their payment according to how much their students learn or how much teachers teach. As far as I am concerned, teaching workloads can not determine teachers’ earning.

 

On the one hand, work loads of a teacher in a university consist of subject teaching, scientific researching and public service, all of which is essential in the education. We can not emphasis any part of work extremely, because education system will collapse for lack of anyone. If teachers are paid only in the light of teaching loads, teachers will pay their attention entirely on teaching hours. Consequently, it is a huge disaster to science and technology development. The contribution of a teacher to society is reflected on scientific research devotion, as well as influencing and educating students. Although a multitude of scholar assail that the faculty in the college join the research activity excessively, the weightiness and value of that can not be underestimated. Through scientific research, excellent scientific researchers are cultivated, and measurement of teachers’ academic ability is also provided.

 

On the other hand, teaching quantity can not decide teaching workloads, for teaching workloads include not only quantity, but also quality. It is known to all of us that if we ignore teaching quality, it makes no sense to teaching, for teaching quality is the ultimate purpose of educating students. We should combine teaching quality with quantity according to demand of students and society.

 

Since being paid only according to how much students learn is not only baneful to scientific researching, but also deleterious to teaching quality, from my perspective, it is not a wise decision. Teachers’ wage is supposed to be calculated in a scientific avenue, which can reflect teachers’ contribution to students and society reasonably.

但是我认为,学生学了多少和老师的工作量是不可以等同的

第二个理由我重写了,第一个理由我觉得应该可以承认,毕竟教师尤其是大学教师,教学只是其中的一部分工作,科研工作也不可忽视。而且教师工作量的评定也是美国教育界一直都关注的问题。

It is known to everyone that how much knowledge a student can grasp is dependent not only on teachers’ indoctrination, but also on a student’s diligence. Teaching and studying has an intimately mutual relationship. If a teacher is paid only on how much his students learn, it is unequal to the teacher, which is not respectful to teachers’ work.

Since being paid only according to how much students learn is not only baneful to scientific researching, but also disrespectful to teacher, from my perspective, it is not a wise decision. Teachers’ wage is supposed to be calculated in a scientific avenue, which can reflect teachers’ contribution to students and society reasonably.

We can not(我是建议最好不用can not, must, should这类的词汇的,其实这些概念都是可以用别的东西替换的,这里可以说:It is not a good decision to) emphasis(emphasize) any part of work extremely(partially应该也可以,表示<片面的>), because education system will collapse for (a) lack of anyone. If teachers are paid only in the light of teaching loads, teachers will (inevitably) pay(前面已经有一个paid,所以这里可以说:focus) their attention entirely on teaching hours. Consequently, it is a huge disaster to science and technology development. The contribution of a teacher to society is reflected on scientific research devotion, as well as influencing and educating students. Although a multitude of scholars assail that the faculty in the college join the research activity excessively, the weightiness and value of that can not be underestimated. Through scientific research, excellent scientific researchers are cultivated, and measurement of teachers’ academic ability is also provided.

写得很好,没有什么好大的改动的,得个将近4分的高档甚至5分都是很合理的.

不过还是提醒一下:虽然没有出现单纯的词汇的重复,但是LZ的表达的重复还是不少的.how much students learn出现了太多次,又比如can not出现了数次,这些最好都是可以改变一下的.当然,瑕不掩瑜,文章的整体还是很不错的.但是第二个原因论证得还可以再充分一点,就是举个反例:假如老师教得很认真,学生却是个小流氓,什么都没有学到,那么老师就应该拿低工资?这显然是absurd.所以,得出结论:老师的工资不应该又学生学了多少来定.

楼主的syntax需要再练练啊 有的地方比较拗口 比如The contribution of a teacher to society ...直接说A teacher's contribution to society 就好了
