In today's world, to speak well is more important than to write well. Agree or disagree.

Recently, a debate has become popular discussed on the news paper: is speak well more important than to write well? According to a recent survey, a considerable proportion of citizens feel the oral skill is more useful than the writing one. Meanwhile, a large number of educators maintain that public should not ignore the importance of writing. On my perspective, I agree with the later point hold by the educators, and I will reason for it as follows.

 

To begin with, the write skill is a basic requirement for literature. On this point, to write well is overweight to speak well. As every body knows, though we all had listened to the stories during our childhood, as we grew up, we tend to read the stories from the books instead of listen from the mouth. For a author of books, it is an essential skill to write well on the paper. And to some extents, there are a lot of effects can only be conveyed by the words. For instance, the famous published book Harry Porter use its words to describe the fantasy magic , which can let the readers to use their imagination to read this book, while the voice of the story will definitely limited the power of the words.

 

Additionally, the writing skill also plays a critical role on the formal situations. Just imagine you run a company, and you make a contract with another company associated with billions of dollar. You would not achieve the contract just by speaking. In the court, the oral evidence has no law effect for a justice. Thus, when come to the formal occasions, we invariable thought about the writing as a better approach to achieve the goal.

 

Last but by no means the least, writing is the symbol of the improvement of the modern society. Our ancient spend a long period for the evolution of the human being, and writing is undoubted a definite distinction between the human and the animals. Some animals which is smart enough can only the sounds to express their idea, while human as a priory animal not only use the sounds but also the word on the paper to communicate with others. Finally, we can come to the conclusion that to write well is as important as to speak well.
