1.    暂无定论,  A 中的with emotional overtones 有修饰world 之嫌疑, 按照意思,应该修饰Depiction ,故我无奈之下选C.
2.     E
With child care as
5.    C(仅供参考), 但觉得C似乎改变了句子强调的重心.(was established … as early as…)

(A)    without emotional overtones 有修饰world之嫌疑。

2. (C)中的been seeing (d)中的been able to 就注定这两个选项是错的。
(A)中with noun. 这种结构ETS往往将其作为 Ungrammatic 选项, 例如:….,with the result that …

With  meat as a rarity; with arms and legs hanging like socks on a  clothesline
该题目最好的答案是: with child care as 或 with child care being

10 ETS一般不倾向于用be able to ,优先顺序是can >be able to

OG 205 :The peaks of a mountain range, acting like rocks in a streambed, produce ripples in the air flowing over them; the resulting flow pattern, with crests and troughs that remain stationary although the air that forms them is moving rapidly, is known as "standing waves."
此处,with crests and troughs that…
marking by different colors  不是修饰 "layers of sediment" , 而是现在分词作状语,表示(结果)状态,当然不能用marked。 .
