admitted by emory today by email (3.8),hehe but with small scholarship....it says in the letter 'You have also been selected to receive a scholarship in the amount of $10,000 per semester'

Can I ask how much is it in total actually? does that means 20K USD per year? If so, how much I need to prepare for the rest of tuition and living expenses etc?

I did not receive any call from Adcom, just an email notification. and my background not strong enough......

Can I write email back to the Adcom and ask for more money?

The scholarship should be 40k for two years. You can confirm it with the admissions.

Typically, you can not ask for more scholarship.
