请问，未划线部分 on its own land, 里面的its 指代的是谁呢？ E选项中的it 是指 the goal,  记得有一个原则，一个句子中出现的代词应该指代同一样东西， 那么在这个句子中， its and it 指的是不同的东西，难道可以么？
我好像陷入了一个误区，看那个选项都觉得不顺眼，都觉得有问题，而且往往找不出那个比哪个更有问题。
