I plan to take the iBT in Sep., been reading the OG these days, the reading part is not as hard as i had thought, but the book-based reading might cause a problem in the real test, for the reading pace and feeling may change while browsing the monitor, so better train myself with fast screen reading. Should you guys pay attention to this as well. The speaking part is a tough one. My problem is not with the speaking itself, but with what to speak. Always when i am asked to answer the question, i get a blank mind immediately. Thats my own problem, as i always prefer conversation/communication to answering questions directly in real life. And another problem is i am afraid my speaking vocabulary is quite limited. Its part of the "benefit" from talking to Germans for years, we non-native speakers simply dont use profound words, and even my intanation is german. What a shame! Another thing is i find Wangyumei vocabulary mps files are quite helpful, i have the new toefl vocabulary handbook, but the hearing files are more efficient and interesting, strongly recommended. |
