分析：and要求两边连接的成份同词性、同性质．and前为名词time，and后也应用名词。应为labor。

问题：laboring 也是名词，为什么这里不能用它了，labor跟laboring在做名词时有什么区别啊？

分析：连词or与and一样，要求所连接的成分同词性、同性质。or前边是名词mistakes和misconceptions，后面也应是名词，不能是句子。应为tricks。

这里的C  have proven to be 中的prove 为什么不用被动啊？

分析：preceding是形容词或动词，不能引导从句．应为Before.

如果把was founded 改成定语形式，which was found 的话A的答案不是可以吗？

答案：A分析：改为period，后面动词为was，前面为单数。

这里B的结构怎么分析呢？我总觉得应该是flight exhibition？

1.纯名词和动名词在语意上有很大区别,动名词的出现主要是为了能在名词形态下实现动宾结构,其使用目的还是朝着动词性去的。题中已经出现了time这样的纯名词后面更应该同样使用纯名词，没必要用动名词（laboring后面没要加什么宾语呀）。纯名词和动名词的区别这一点在GMAT的语法中非常强调，通过这道题说明托福中也有所强调。

2.不太清楚,选B可能是因为前后比较更明显的缘故吧，但structure的数和用法感觉上有些怪。我选了C。

3.prove的特点就是以主动形态表被动语意。

4.这里不可能是as…as结构,这从题干中as之前出现的and可以看出。原局可拆分为make sth valuable in doing sth and make sth valuable as sth.

5.题目的原意是“在美国海军学校建立之前,水兵们是在海上接受训练的”。根据你改后的意思变为“之前的那个建于1845年的海军学校，水兵们是在海上接受训练的”。后者语意明显混乱。

6.exhibition flights 展示性的飞行表演, 就是特技飞行呀.

对第2题的解释：

BEFORE后只可能跟名词或短语或过去式的句子。A、C、D都是现在时态所以错误。只有B可以。B是以STRUCTRE为核心的名词
