Corporate Finance vs Asset Pricing

I'm a third year undergrad now. What consideration would u suggest taken into ac
count concerning the  choice between corporate finance and asset pricing as a fu
ture major. The two are both my favourites.  

Another choice question:
Read real analysis, complex analysis, topology and stochastic process first,
to have the mathematical qualification.
Or:
read those advanced textbooks on financial market and corporate finance
first, to have the intuition.

I am not specilized in Finance. Just my 2 cents from intuition.

Either Corporate Finance or Asset Pricing is very good choice now, at least for us Chinese As you know, Asset Pricing requires a lot of mathematical capabilities, while Corporate Finance will give you broader choices in the future. So I think your final decision may base on your answers to the following two questions:

1) Are you very good at Maths and Mathematical Modelling? If you want to go into Asset Pricing, you must be good at these capabilities.

2) What kind of future career would you like to make? If you want to go to invest banks, perhpas Asset Pricing is a good choice.

You are only a third year undergrad now. As I assumed, many undergraduate students will change their interest later; even for first or second year PhD students, it may also be true. So, learn as much as you can and you will finally know what's your real interst is.
