1.C，比较结构，in Hungary, as in Eastern Europe，排除BDE。修饰人只能用who/whom不能用which，A排除。
2.C，考察并列：agreed that… but that…，排除AB。D如果用was any better那么that应换成if，排除；E的is or is not很累赘，用whether更加简洁。Than is的is多余，排除。
3.B，主语主语是a new study estimated that votes cast were not counted. Citing A, B, C, and D是做study的伴随状语。

7.E，让executive likely to miss signs or misinterpret them的，是“being heavily committed to a course of action”这件事。A意思是heavy commitment makes it likely to miss signs，commitment逻辑上无法miss signs，另外it无指代对象。BC改变了句子的意思，变成executive is likely to miss signs，being…成为了修饰executive的定语。D中主要是they和them的指代有歧义。

9.A（选错，应选C），主干：coyote has been able to expand its range into xxx. 根据subject to可知，主语是coyote，不是coyote’s ability，排除ADE；A中coyote’s是所有格结构，修饰的是主语ability，句子主干是：ability has enabled it (ability) to expand its (ability’s) range；B中coyote跟have错误搭配了。
