OG17 SC 740 “复数名词所有格”（eg:hotels'）小提醒

虽然之前问的问题还没得到回答T_T......不过今天做题目的时候又遇到一题，被啪啪打脸，囧。特此奉上，给其他和我有类似做题习惯的小伙伴一点小提醒~

740. Thetourism commission has conducted surveys of hotels in the most popular resorts,with the ultimate goal of reducing the guests who end up expressing overalldissatisfaction with the service in the hotels.

A. with theultimate goal of reducing the guests who end up expressing overalldissatisfaction with the service in the hotels

B.  with the goal to ultimately reduce the numberof guests who end up expressing overall dissatisfaction with the hotels’service

C. ultimatelywith the goal to reduce expressions of overall dissatisfaction by the guestswith the hotel service

D. in anultimate attempt to reduce the number of guests that ends up expressing overalldissatisfaction with the hotels’ service

OA是E，我做题的时候，第一反应是把复数名词所有格排除，因为新东方老师说过这样的形式必错，因此果断选了A（虽然这题错了，不过之前用这招确实没遇到过什么问题），后来看答案的时候发现人家点根本不在这......可见在相对的情况下，复数名词所有格也是能被接受的~

请问这个plural possessives指的是's形式的所有格吧？没有说of形式的所有格。

我想说的是首先没有一种语法格式是绝对错的，简单的看到某种格式（例如Being，或者这里的用法）就认为是错的的方法是不可取的。

其次请不要误解Manhattan的意思, 因为它要表达不是说这种用法是“错的“。下面是论坛上Tim对类似问题的回复。

Dear instructors,

In the chapter 12 of Manhattan, it mentions that the GMAT avoids the plural possessive answer choice, such as 'certain humans' parasites'. But how about the single possessive answer choice, whether 'certain human's parasites' is true or not.

Tim: This is not a case of anything being "true or not", as you mention in your first post. Neither is wrong; it's just that the GMAT tends not to use plural possessives, so IF YOU HAVE TO GUESS that will help you increase the odds. The main thing to keep in mind is that the ONLY mistake anyone EVER makes on SC is eliminating the correct answer. For this reason you don't EVER want to guess unless you have absolutely nothing else to go on. If you see either one of these constructions on the GMAT, leave it in!

possessive pronoun 是一种语法格式，怎么会是“错的”。如果是错的，那这种语法格式存在的意义是什么。

不同的结构都是要靠Context来判断，怎么会有绝对错的
