经上海新东方学校与上海各托福考点（上外、交大、华师大考试中心）联系后得到的确切答复，由于新托福推迟一年登陆中国，原定于2005年7月9日加考的笔考考试取消。目前可以确定的托福笔考考试时间为2005年5月14日(报名已结束)和8月20日。上海新东方学校与北京清华大学托福考点和中国人民大学托福考点电话咨询，得到的答复是今年后半年及2006年初仍然进行现行托福笔考。
时间分别为：
2005年8月20日、
2005年10月15日、
2005年11月19日、
2006年1月14日、
2006年5月13日。
而与上海的上外、交大和华师大及北京语言文化大学托福考点电话咨询时，得到的答复是还没确定。同时各考点均表示尚未接到关于05年8月以后及06年笔考考试的安排计划。因此在五月托福考试报名已经结束的情况下，八月的笔考为目前唯一可以确定的笔考考试。
为进一步确认现行托福考试以后的时间安排，上海新东方与ETS客户服务部James Livingood发EMAIL联系，回信可以确定的信息如下：
1) 2005年11月1日前，ETS将在网上，各考试中心办公室和出版物上公布中国2006年新托福考试 (IBT)安排。
原信如下：Please be advised that ETS is committed to a successful transition worldwide. In order to maintain test and score integrity and ensure a quality administration for test takers, ETS will introduce the new Internet-Based TOEFL (iBT) test in phases.
The test will first be administered in the United States on September 24,2005. On October 22, the TOEFL iBT test will begin in Canada, France,Germany and Italy. The test will be introduced in the rest of the world in 2006. A complete schedule will be available by November 1, 2005. Please

2) 在新托福正式登陆之前，ETS将会继续安排笔考考试（PBT）和计算机考试（CBT），关于具体的安排，ETS申明将会在五月给出自05年8月至06年的所有笔考考试安排，届时学生可向NEEA问讯相关信息。
原信如下：ETS will continue to administer the current computer-based and paper-based versions of the test until the new Internet-based test is implemented. In the United States, CBT will stop in mid-September. In Canada, France, Germany, and Italy, a paper-based test administration will be held on October 15, 2005, and computer-based testing will continue until mid-month. CBT and PBT will continue in the rest of the world until iBT is introduced in 2006.
Please note that the 2005-2006 TOEFL Information & Registration Bulletins are not available at this time. Please contact us again in May to receive test date information for 2005-2006. Please note that special editions of the bulletin are required for the People"s Republic of China. We suggest that you contact NEEA in May if you are testing in the People"s Republic of China.
3) 关于笔考成绩有效期，ETS表明将会继续在相应的考试后两年内提供成绩报告。对于各个机构是否还承认笔考成绩，ETS并没有给出统一的答复，仅建议考生向具体的学校或者机构问讯。
基于以上的情况，上海新东方建议各位同学根据自己的毕业时间和申请进度安排来确定参加笔考考试还是参加新托福考试。对于已经决定参加笔考考试的同学，请不要被目前网上流传的各种未经证实的消息所迷惑，用心认真复习，等待五月份ETS给出正式的笔考时间安排表和特别版的TEST BULLETIN。
