急求～关于同位语结构分割的问题

在做prep 2008的时候 看到这道题：

可是后面又看到这样一道题：

这道题的同位语为什么可以在numerous challenges 和the threat from xxxx中间 出现“facing the company”的后置以及among them“？这样不会造成同位语结构的分割么？
