2）manhattan第六章里说过 comma+which这种结构，which只能指代comma前面最近的名词，不能指代一句话。那么当没有comma的时候，单独的which （正如本题E选项）可以指代前面一整句话么

先说1，AB也不绝对错。arguing修饰的是主语还是宾语是有歧义的（尽管修饰任何一个似乎也都说得通）；有E这样用同位语把话说得清楚明白的选项，AB就不要选了。

SVO, v-ing的句型里，v-ing修饰整个句子、修饰S或O都多少有点问题，容易歧义。能用同位语、用which表达的尽量就别v-ing了。修饰主语可以提到前面写成v-ing, SVO更好。

我觉得这里AB是可以作为绝对性错误排除的~

关于这里为什么不能用comma+ving的详细分析
•        这里有两种可能情况：1. Treaties ＝ discourse on women；2. Treaties ≠ discourse on women
•        如果是第一种情况的话，就没有任何必要再加A选项的那个短语in a treaties，单纯的一个arguing就足够了（comma + arguing描述前面的一整句话）
•        如果是第二种情况的话，那这个结构就有点碉堡了：为什么comma+ving作为一个adverbial modifier（本来应该给主句提供各种相关信息）跑去谈论一件没有包含在主句里面的作品呢？（treaties）

A选项的ambiguity：
•        这个treaties主要argue了两样东西：equal rights 和changes
•        a treaties for women？这个treaties是专门为女性写的？还是说这个东西只能被女性阅读呢？还是这个treaties想要女性拥有某些权利呢？（have rights）
•        这些潜在的ambiguities是GMAC不能容忍的，排除
•        当然最快的解题方法还是看到未划线部分的for changes（changes和women这两个类目不能平行）
