Answer is E.  解释中说:Unaccompanied is not wrong but not accompanied more e?ectively expresses the intended negation. 我选的是a, 但是光凭这个解释就把unaccompanied排除,我不是很理解…我选择unaccompanied的原因就是觉得比not accompanied简洁一些。请问怎么理解not accompanied比unaccompanied more effectively呢？

我知道这题有很多人在论坛里问过了..可是还是各种看不懂…就是想不通为什么scholars不能based on accounts of various ancient writers.

而且觉得b选项里有2个and在一个句子中, “the creation of Buddha images and on construction and decoration of the temples“ 这样是可以的吗？还是我对句子的结构有错误的理解？这句话能有牛人帮我梳理下句子结构吗？实在不能理解为什么有2个and在一个句子里…

我选的是a, 只是觉得a的格式“Adam Smith’s two major books”和后面的格式” Adam Smith wrote two major books” 很像. 而且我知道比较对象是两本书,可是a选项难道比的不是书么？

我觉得第一题插入语之后有个介词短语by  by之后跟的的accompany的动作发出者increases in sales 那么前面用被动语态的省略形式 not主义accompanied 就要比表示状态的adj unaccompanied 更加好。ETS的解释应该是这个意思。

第二题、学者也应该是基于而不是被基于吧、要用based on，主语应该要是后面的picutre吧

第三题e选项的意思是the creation account for energy as well as the construction and decoration 意思不对了 原文意思是否如果按e照表达也应该是否creation as well as construction and decoration account for energy
原文的意思是说 创造佛像形象以及 建筑和装饰temples 耗费了artisans 的大量精力
这个逻辑加上对等要求就是B了
至于最后的and and 它是两层第一层是 on creation AND on construction and decoration 两个on 的内容并列第一层 后面的construction和decoration是on短语里面的小并列它们两一块作为整体跟creation平行

第一道题的真正差异在于副词correspondingly和by的位置吧？

这样一看逻辑上就只能选E了，并不是unaccompany的问题

第二题，因为based on是被动，至于这个你其实可以参考OG对B的解释。我现在手边上没有OG，但如果我的理解正确，OG对B的解释应该不会包含based on不能modify scholars，而是因为it没有referent. 第三题，语感上你感觉and连用不舒服，但是我必须告诉你as well as和and在意思上没有差别，在语气上的差别就是and前后轻重对等，两边内容可以对调，而as well as前后有语气轻重之分。另外and连用肯定是没有任何问题的。而如果不从你问的问题的角度考虑，E最大的问题在于那个them。


对于句子结构我实在不会梳理...我把意群给你画出来吧
In ancient Thailand,  （much of the local artisans’ creative energy）（ was expended）（ on the creation of Buddha images /and/ on construction and decoration of the temples)( in which they were enshrined).

这样的话，简化后的句子读法就是  energy was expended on sth and on sth A and sth B in which they were enshrined.

第四个很简单，A选项比的是书，但是书不能是一个领军人物...a leading figure的修饰问题。因此只能在DE里面选
