关于连词连用的问题（第一次提问，倍儿紧张...）

语法笔记上有这么一道题：

B的解释是：allow应该用第三人称形式；and与so都是连词，重复。


但是后来有出现这样一道题：
Unlike frogs that metamorphose from tadpoles into adults within a one-year period, it takes three to
four years for the mountain yellow-legged frog of the Sierra Nevada to reach adulthood, and so they
are restricted to deeper bodies of water that do not dry up in summer or freeze solid in winter.

那连词到底能不能连用呢？

两个连词是绝对不可以连用的这个是肯定的。

and so是一个短语. and so = and therefore
Madeira has an ideal climate,and so it is not surprising that it has become a tourist paradise.

这个问题貌似一直没有完全解决的说。
饭饭查了一下哈，有人说and so=and therefore, 此类观点的人比较多；还有人支持and so=thus(thus这里必然是取连词意思)，此派支持者从2011年10月开始出现...
饭饭又查了牛津高阶，看到and so连用的情况是在so作为副词的情况下使用的。

第1题：and前后不共用主语：and之前的部分，主语是design；and之后的部分，主语变成了an attacker。
第2题：and前后共用主语，都是mountain yellow-legged frogs，只不过and之前的部分是直接说；and之后的部分是用they来指代。
           事实上，一句话如果是A do B and C，我们知道do B和 do C的都是A。所以and前后必定共用主语，如果再用they来指代是重复。
           但第2题在and之后有了一个so那就不一样了，有了它就可以另外再补充一个they而不显重复了。
所以and之后可以加so，但so引导的分句主语必须与and之前的主语一致(第2题)，倘若不一致那就不能加so(第1题)。
