consuming前面是个完整的句子 which overturn rocks to find the insects，因而作状语修饰which，which指代的又是bears，所以consuming就是做状语修饰熊

E中的consuming放在insect后面的确有歧义. 可以说consuming能修饰bear, 但不能说它不能修饰insects, 这个选项的问题就出在这.
