答案是E
我认为E选项的问题在于which，逻辑上它应该指代letters，但是根据就近修饰原则，which指代了前边的Dickinson，为什么E正确？还有，A选项为什么错了？
附OG上对A选项解释：The long, wordy opening clause gives too much emphasis to the period when Dickinson’s letters were written; it is unclear what outnumbering refers to（为什么unclear？）.

我认为C选项也没有问题，OG的解释是awkward  ==！

26题很tricky，E选项的which指代没有问题，因为是which were，必然只能指代letters。这种改变了句子中心的答案也比较少见，意思上理解一下吧

关于ending，我只知道和前面平行，请高人解答

A选项中有一个ending,动名词要么伴随要么结果，这里表哪个都不通的，去掉，B中首先begins时态不对，然后逗号后面应加上一个and,C和D中and前后都不平行，去掉，E中which引导的句子是作插入语的，所以完全正确。
