对于正确选项C，OG给的解释是：This sentense presents the proper logic while maintaining parallel structure ans consistent verb tense.

也就是说句子主体是JR and GM are composer who..., but whose....  OG认为这两个从句是平行的。

可是曼哈顿第四章却讲到，Parallel clauses should start with the same word.
Wrong: I want to retire to a place WHERE I can relax AND THAT has low taxes.
Right:   I want to retire to a place WHERE I can relax AND WHERE the taxes are low.

而且那个著名的培训机构也说，从句并列，连接词要是一样的才可以。。

Wait A minute, B选项的解释还有这么一句话:
The two clauses are not parallel, lack a coordinating conjunction, and do not describe the same thing.
莫非，是因为Q137中那两个从句不是说一件事，故平行不用保证相同的连接词？还是什么？

像C这种选项，那个whose可以看做是省略掉的，当然补上也是对的。

而你举例子的那个，where去掉以后会有歧义。

原因就是，C选项中and之后的动词短语没有主语，而曼哈顿那个where 之后是一个完整的主谓结构，可以理解为和i want平行。

另外，平行的时候要结构平行，而不是说主语都要一致。who和whose都是代词，指代同一个人以及这个人的所有格，没有不平行的疑点。

比如 i like pepsi but he likes cocacola, 这么说是没有错误的。

个人认为这个解释说的是whose和之前没划线的部分。因为根据原句未划线部分推理， composer后面应该是一个并列结构的list,用来修饰composer。也就是XDF说的逗号逗号and结构的平行。

我理解你1楼的意思，可是我不是那个问题啦~还米有那么笨~哈。我的意思就是composer who..., but whose ...这个结构和那个例子中place where... ，and where...这两个结构。
而且还有许多关于evidence的题目，都是evidence suggest that..., and that...这类要保证连接词一致。

我感觉，之所以会造成composer who..., but whose...这种结构就是因为B选项所说：These two caluses do not talk about the same thing. 而你像where还有that那个例子，都是在修饰先行词，并描述同一事物，从而要求连接词一致的。

我还需要例子来佐证这个说法到底对不对，目前这个想法是我猜的。。。

且看我刚刚从曼哈顿上摘抄到的一句话：Only clauses starting with the same word should be made parallel.
E.g：A mastodon carcass, which has been thawed only once, AND which is still fresh, is on display.

我对这个例子保留态度~我觉得就应该说成he ate pizza, and he drank pepsi. 恩。。
