必须承认科学技术教育很重要，尤其在当今社会，但这不意味着我们可以忽略人文教育；一个完整的教育体系，人文教育不可少。
Should school devotemore time to teaching science and technology and less to teaching the arts andhumanities in modern society? Admittedly, in modern society science and technology play more and moreimportant role in almost every field in individuals’ daily life, career fieldsand even social activities, and we are so depend on modern technology such as internet,auto mobile and so on. However the importance of science and technology dosenot means that we can neglect the same essential role of arts and humanities. Inmy opinion, education is one of our nation's most important investments and aschool education without the arts and humanities is incomplete and incompetitive.

Firstly, the arts andhumanities significant role in graduating a generation of students proficientin all classroom disciplines with the ability to think creativity and tofluently communicate those thoughts.  Moreover,to remain competitive in the global economy and the importance of innovation,school education meant not only teaching our children science and technologyskills but also encouraging them to think creatively and be rewarded with allthat comes with being engaged in creative endeavors: the awareness that comeswith self-expression; the sense of strength that comes when you share yourauthentic voice; and a fresh, innovative perspective on problems of all stripswhen you're using all of your brain. Fail to invest in a well -round educationfor our children will thwart our efforts to lead in a new economy wherecritical thinking and creativity will be the keys to success.

Secondly, the arts arenot just for those who go on to become professional artists. Research showsthat girls and boys, young men and women who have arts classes are more likelyto be engaged in their classes, attend school, achieve better test scores andgraduate. That means that arts and humanities education cannot be anafterthought- an investment that our schools can make only after they've solvedall the other challenges they face. In stead, we must see it as a tool forkeeping students more engaged, for closing achievement gaps and loweringdropout rates.

In summary, our schooleducation should balance in teaching both aspects, science and arts,  and realize a complete and competitiveeducation- form cradle to career-for all children.
