Round 2 quickly comes to an end. What a round it has been!!! This is probably the most fierce competition in MBA application in a while. Hass has been a bloodbath. Ross admission team couldn't make up their mind until a day n half before deadline. Some skools even pushed bak their decision deadline. Application to tuck feels almost like throwing a rock into a bottemless hole. U cannot hear a sound from it. After having a couple terrific interviews(talking to ppl is my job) with top tier skools, I, like many others, still failed to get an admit. Reflecting on my personal experience, I feel that all admitted applicants hav a well-rounded application. On top of that , u must somehow be distinctive. With this being said, I'd first like to congratulate all admits. U guys deserve a lot of credit than u receive on this board. Applying to b-school is a lot harder than I expected, Especially for international students. Every skool indicates it has 30 to 40% international students. From my research, among all the international students, half of these so-called international students are currently working in the states. For international students from outside of the states, the chance of getting in is actually a lot smaller than most ppl preceive. Thus, when ppl receive a ding from a top tier skool, there is no point to put uself down too hard. Like many other qualified candidates that didn't make it, u are simply unlucky. There are still plenty of options ahead of us and this bump on the road is, well, simply a bump on the road. I myself decided to attend my safety school despite the urge to apply next year. I will foreva be a dream chaser like the name of this great site. Good luck to all of those who are dinged in ur future endeavors. |
