Hey there!  Thanks for the note !Yes, of course this is good experience for you.  Now I only remember one actual actuary when I was at HBS, but the skills are very relevant to many areas of problem solving, job getting, etc.  So yes, it will be a unique approach to write about—if you can do it craftily, you should be just fine.  Hope this helps, and good luck!
