cambridge or rice

Just got the email that I am admitted by Cambridge mba program? Actually I do not expect cause I have been put in the waitlist for a long time.

Originally have decide to choose rice, and have paid the 2500$ deposit to get I20.

Now I have to make a choice again, US two-year program or UK one-year program.

My backgroud is two year China securities company and one year HK financial consulting company.  I want to work in an IB or MNC after mba.

Any ideas are welcome?

hmm.. it is a difficult choice. both school may not get into your dream career. CAmbridge may have an upper hand in HK. and Rice is better in China.

I believe Rice is better (notice: I don't really know much about cambridge, just heard that they recruite tons of chinese),

First, many IB move back-end functions to Houston where Rice located

Second, Energy companies are doing well, and they have a great presence in China. Rice has strong tie with them.

third, China market value US MBA more than UK MBA. sadly.

Cambrige graduates are very popular in UK companies, but for US companies, Rice might be a little better.

In the long-run I will come back to China, I do not care whether work in a UK company or in a USA company, a famous international company is ok, which is more valued???  

I find that few people in China know Rice but all know Cambridge, but people always think US bschools is far better than most UK bschools.

Rice is famous in energy company.  But if you are not in the industry,  maybe Cambridge is a better choice

my interest is still IB or PE.  It is said that rice has a good Finance concentration while cambridge is good at general manager.

What make me a bit worried is that it is impossible to learn more deep Finance courses in only one year.

anybody has more suggestions?
