此题OG上解释的基本上能够理解。正确答案为C。 OG解答中提到the area of Colorado 和 the area overseen by the companies 中存在同等关系。但是，对于后者"the area overseen by the companies" 应该对应的就是题目中的"the number of acres "了吧(我的理解)，我总觉得这存在不合适，一个是地域，一个是描述这个地域大小的number，这个对应总觉得怪怪的？
各位能给点意见吗？

我觉得此处overseen 修饰的是acres 而不是the number of acres ,acres 除了英亩的意思外，还指 大片空间，所以选项中描述的an area 是对的。不知此解释正确否？

overseen 修饰的是acres是对的, 且acres还有大片空间的意思，但the number of acres overseen......的主语应该是the number而不是acres，那与后面的an aera来对应的话，就比较奇怪了。
可能是我专牛角尖了......呵呵。

overseen 修饰的是acres是对的, 且acres还有大片空间的意思，但the number of acres overseen......的主语应该是the number而不是acres，那与后面的an aera来对应的话，就比较奇怪了。
