A的错误在于so much as应该分开为so much an illness or a physical condition as a symptom of
so much...as...是很严格的并列结构。
E里面后面的as改为了but，这样后面就不用一定要求a symptom来保证illness/physical condition这样的名词，而可以用(be) symptomatic of来shows that a serious problem exists.
