说说我自己的看法。其实这种修饰经常遇见的有3种情况的，1）介宾结构的修饰，2）which之类的从句，3）ing/ed 形式。 我自己感觉到区别是这样：1）介宾结构一定是遵从就近原则去修饰最近的名词结构，2）which引导从句也是就近修饰，3）ing/ed都是由主句中的主语发生的动作，是指在伴随主句中谓语动词发生的同时发生的行为。这个题主句的主语是mountains，自然不能naming了。。

我其实也有三楼的感受，就是没办法说明白其中的缘由，挺纳闷的！

另外对于选项C和E中的since，OG说loses the important causal logic of the sentence这句话看不是很明白，是不是说用来表示原因的时候because比since更合适呢？如果两者同时出现，优先选择because？

第一次做这道题目的时候，感觉很简单，一下子就把C排除了，仔细研究过分词做伴随状语和定语后，这道题目就糊涂了，很多G友说C中naming的逻辑主语不对，所以错了，一开始我也是这样认为的，可是逻辑主语不对，只能排除naming做状语，可以做定语，修饰JC，显然og也是这样认为的，所以og说介宾的宾语而且不是clause的主语，不能describe
