Use specific reasons and examples to explain your answer. Because of China have a distinctive developing history, especially between twentieth and twenty first century, my parents and I do have many differences, which sometimes are defined as "generation gaps" in many aspects of life, such as consumption habits, eating, and views on individual values. My parents are prone to save money, and wait for years until it is sufficient to purchase things, especially when buying big goods such as a house or a car. However, I got a different buying habit compared to theirs, I usually buy things I like without thinking too much. In spite of financial management is crucial in daily life to every generation, I hold the opinion that money is basically obtained by working and investment, not purely by saving. Another obvious dissimilarity may be eating habits. My parents feel better to eat at home. My mother always buys materials home and cooks them to prepare a big meal. In contrast, I would rather to go to a restaurant or fast food store to get some hamburgers or breads to eat, since it is more convenient. Moreover, cooking is a waste of time, and I can utilize this leisure to do some other interesting and meaningful activities, such as reading, listening to music, going out with friends, etc. The most distinctive divergence between our two generation is views on individual personality. Since my parents were educated in terms of the concept “organizations are more important than individuals", they consider that personal characteristics or benefits are of no value when compared to the counterpart of groups. But, in my opinion, personal characteristics are more significant than anything else in this new age. The society values individual diversity and encourages personal creative ideas much greater than ever, and that is personality can separate us from others and finally give us a meaningful life. from what has been discussed above, we know that the generation gaps make my parents and I form many  different attitudes toward same things. From the financial management to the individual personality, the two generations' diverse opinions indicate that my parents and I possess different thinking ways which become the big signs of each generation. So, I lead a unique way of life and not same as my parents'.
