我不明白为什么不能选a呢，为什么后面的ing不能用来解释前面说的怎么个增加法呢？为什么非要用同位语来修饰呢？

Amounting不能作为comma-ing的修饰词apply到automobile manufacture - 而且amounting to 修饰前面整个句子的话就变成公司宣布XxX这个事情 amount to 5 miles per gallon 逻辑不符

哦哦哦我忽然看出来了，如果这是个ing的话必须修饰前面句子中的s才行，我刚才一直想的是这个ing可以用来解释前面的increase的内容，就忽略了这个了！谢谢你谢谢你！
