求解！Did it 和 did so

曼哈顿笔记中写到did it 和did so 相应的例句分别是
I didn’t do my homework, but my brother did it.
I didn’t eat my lunch quickly, but my brother did so.
但是idiom部分中却说
I didn’t eat the cheese, but my brother did(or did so)
说这里用Did it是错误的。
但是这就和笔记违背了啊怎么会是错误的呢求NN解答！

严格来说，这里的例句有误。

I didn’t do my homework, but my brother did it. 这里的it代请my homework，我的作业我弟弟做了，这样对吗？这句话其实应该改成I didn’t do my homework, but my brother did it for me或者I didn’t do my homework, but my brother did his.

I didn’t eat my lunch quickly, but my brother did so.这句话是对的，意思是我吃的不快，但我弟弟吃很快。

从这里两个例子可以看出，it是指代一个具体的“名词”，so是指代“一件事”，这是最根本的区别。

I didn’t eat the cheese, but my brother did(or did so) 我没吃cheese，我弟弟吃了。这里的so代指eat the cheese这件事，而不能用it代指cheese这个东西。

如果你说成，I didn’t eat the cheese, but my brother did it, 这句话读不通，因为这里的did是指代前面发生的“吃cheese”这件事，而不是一个独立意义上的谓语动词，所以后面只能跟so。就算你讲成：我没吃这块cheese，我弟弟把它吃了，那应该写成：I didn’t eat the cheese, but my brother eat it. 那就不能用did这个词。
