if you pay the deposit and then decide not to go, it's ok. but you won't get your deposit back. getting B-school offer is a fair game for us applicants, and getting admitted students to enroll is also a fair game for the schools. so don't worry. you have the right to choose which school to go to.

I was admitted by a 40+ school and have 50% scholarship, but I need deposit $1000 to reserve the space next week.  My question is whether I can give up the school later if I chose another school.  I got waitlisted by another school which is a top 10+ school.  I want to know whether it is my obligation to the school which I paid the deposit.  I really need to a MBA degree since I am old and cannot wait one more year.  Thank you for your information.
