对于exceed我有些问题为什么主谓一致不是单数形式， the amounts of 难道侧重的不是数量？就像 the number of 侧重数量所以用的是单数？

the amounts of 和 the amount of 的区别就在于看你是想说两堆还是一堆，这里的the amounts of suspected carcinogens 意思上应该是说不止是一种致癌物carcinogens，可能是有很多种致癌物做衡量标准，所以要用amounts表示复数，如果原来的选项里有把amount画线的话，那就要特别区分说到底句意是想说一个还是多个
