关于一般过去时与过去完成时的一道prep08题

今天研究了很久的一道题

Between 1990 and 2000 the global economy grew more thanit did during the 10,000 years from the

beginning of agriculture to 1950.

A. Between 1990 and 2000 the global economy grew morethan it did during the 10,000 years from the

beginning of agriculture

B. Between 1990 and 2000 the growth of the globaleconomy was more than that during 10,000 years,

from when agriculture began

C. The growth of the global economy between 1990 and2000 exceeds that which had been for 10,000

years from the beginning of agriculture

D. The growth of the global economy between 1990 and2000 exceeds what it has been for 10,000 years,

from when agriculture began

E. The growth of the global economy between 1990 and2000 exceeded what it did for the 10,000 years

from thebeginning of agriculture  

答案是A。虽然Ron曾经说过研究错误选项怎么改对是没有必要的，但是这个关系到我一直都有点模糊的知识点（时态和比较是软肋啊！），所以一直还是想问一下。 A中的itdid可不可以改成过去完成时（注意不是现在完成时）呢？因为那10000年是在1990-2000这个时间段以前的，而且during也是一个完成时的标志词。我翻遍了CD，很多人问的都是现在完成时，而且这个题好像还有很多变体，有人问了过去完成时，但是解答的我觉得不够有说服力。恳请NN们解答我的疑惑吧！

反正我觉得要是简单的时态能奏效的话，就没有必要使用复杂的时态，这是GMAC的语法规则 = = ...

恩恩 所以请问版主 时态在做题时不是一个优先split的点吗？怎么理解呢？

反正我觉得要是简单的时态能奏效的话，就没有必要使用复杂的时态，这是GMAC的语法规则 = =

当你有很清楚的时间indicator的时候，不要去复杂化时态

谢谢版主~关于你所提到的过去完成时就像数轴里面的线段，那10000年这个就是线段，那不是用过去完成时会更合适嘛？虽然你说的很有道理，这里时态不重要的

谢谢！我理解也明白这个道理 只是我在做这道题的时候上来差点就因为时态排除了A，所以对这个问题我就特别的重视。谢谢你的回答哈

可以
但是没有必要
当你有很清楚的时间indicator的时候，不要去复杂化时态
比如说： I had eaten a cake before I went to sleep没必要
I ate a cake before I went to sleep就够了~（在其他情况一样的时候，倾向更简洁的）

当然，如果从严格意思来讲，10000 years from the begining这个是一个时间节点
用一般过去时要比过去完成时要好（过去完成时就像数轴里面的“线段”）

要说一句，LZ没必要进行这样的改动，GMAT的原则就是做选择题，在不合理中选择合理的，或者合理中选择更合理的。而不是做改错题。慢慢的你做题做的多了就会发现，其实很多错误的选项的语法上没错，只是答案选项比它更符合逻辑。这就是RON所说的研究错误答案改对是没必要的，因为答案是比较出来的。这道题的A选项你把成改成过去式还是过去完成式都不重要，这道题重点不是时态而是比较。
