关于伴随状语修饰不定式

求CD中的大神们给我讲讲伴随状语修饰动词不定式的用法！！！！！为啥我一直觉得伴随状语只能修饰谓语或整个句子？

例如prep07 Pack1 sc 134

正确答案选D，笔记上说是spending做伴随，修饰see，可以这么用么？这样不会引起spending做伴随修饰require的歧义么？

那spending less  time到底是修饰啥的啊？

只有see会花更少的时间，require应该不行吧。。。
